Albert E. Modezjewski, 93, of County Road 100W, passed away at 3:30 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2016, at Seymour Crossing in Seymour.

Albert was born October 22, 1922, in South Bend, the son of Polish immigrants, Joshep and Stella Modezrjewski.

Mike was proudly the son of Polish immigrants, and attended Bethel Wesleyan Church. He was previously employed for the railroad as a boilermaker but worked construction for the majority of his life, mainly as a brick mason. Mike proudly served his country during World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy on a gun crew.

A graveside service with military honors will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Fort Wayne (6600 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804). Calling will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, August 1, 2016, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.

Survivors include his niece, Karon (Mike) Sheehan of Fort Wayne; and close friends, Larry and Sue Johnson of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joshep and Stella Modezrjewski; brothers, Stephen Modezjewski, William Meyer, Roman Marish, Frank Marish, Stanley Majewski and Robert Majski; and a sister, Mary Magdenlla, as well as an infant brother and sister.

Services were entrusted to Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
