Joan Stearns, 72, of North Vernon, died Thursday, July 28, 2016, at her residence.
Survivors include her son, Bobby (Kay) Stearns of North Vernon; daughters, Ronda (Greg) Smith and Connie (Jimmy) Turner, both of North Vernon; brothers, Ray (Pat) Hall of Columbus and Jim (Barb) Hall of Holton; sisters, Beatrice Miniard of Hazard, Kentucky, Portia Lamb of Commiskey and Deb (Roger) Brewer of North Vernon; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry W. Stearns.
Funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with the Rev. Anthony Sweeney officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the donor’s choice of charities.
