Ashlynn Leigh Cakes, 1109 16th St., is having a Bake Sale to Beat ALS from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
Half of all proceeds from the bake sale will be donated to the ALS Chapter of Indiana. Those who purchase items or donate to the ALS Chapter of Indiana will be entered into a drawing for prizes.
ALS is Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Gehrig played 17 seasons with the Major League New York Yankees from 1923 to 1939. The seven-time all-star first baseman died two years later at age 37 after being diagnosed with ALS.
