Alex Taylor Schmidt, 19, of North Vernon, died July 31, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born November 20, 1996 in Madison; Alex was the son of Rick Schmidt and Marie Grider.
Survivors include his parents, Rick (Velvet) Schmidt and Marie (James Hatton) Grider of North Vernon; brother, Joshua Littrell of North Vernon; and sister, Lauren Schmidt of North Vernon.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with the Rev. Michael Raley officiating. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to North Vernon Parks and Recreation-Skate Board Park.
