Why is it that people no longer fear or respect a moving vehicle? It does not matter if you are in a parking lot or driving down the street, they walk out without even looking up, not to mention side to side. I have even seen people carrying young children or babies step into the flow of traffic.
Are people so distracted with themselves to actually pay a smidge of attention to what is happening around them? This also includes the bicycles that travel all over town and never stop for a stop sign or signal. They also travel the wrong side of the road. I am amazed nobody has mowed one down out here in Garden City, as the highway is narrow with no sidewalk. You’re traveling along and suddenly you have a bicycle in your lane coming at you. Why not enforce the laws governing these problems?
