Olympians down Bulldogs

BATESVILLE — Columbus East picked up its first dual-match win of the season, a 190-204 win against Batesville at Hillcrest Country Club.

Autumn Fateley won medalist honors with a 45 to lead the Olympians. Zoe Rangel carded a 47, Lily Shelp added a 48, Morgan Harrison shot 50 and Natalie Ryan had a 53.

East’s team score was three shots better than in Thursday’s season-opener at The Legends.

“It’s hard going from the bus to the golf course, but we did OK,” East coach Troy Buntin said. “Especially with school just starting, with three road matches in four school days, that’s pretty good.”
