Martha Louise Francisco, 82, of Columbus, formerly of Hope, passed away at noon Saturday, August 6, 2016.
Born November 28, 1933, in Chadbourn, North Carolina, she was the daughter of Troy and Lazzell Goodman. She was a 1950 graduate of Chadbourn High School and also graduated from Greensboro College in North Carolina. She acquired her master’s degree from Ball State University in 1960.
Martha married James R. Francisco on August 16, 1958. She taught elementary school for Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation for 35 years.
She will be sadly missed by husband, Jim; sons James R. Francisco Jr. of Indianapolis and Dave (Cindy) Francisco of Hope; grandsons, Travis (Kimmie) Milner of Fortville, Dustin (Janae) Milner of Lafayette, Aaron (Nicole) Ashley of Denver, Colorado, and Tyler Ashley of Hope; two great-granddaughters and one great-grandson due in September.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Margaret Goodman.
There will be no calling hours or services.
