Jo Ann Kemner, age 77, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away August 7, 2016.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, John T. Kemner; children, John (Barbara) Kemner of Cumming, Georgia, Julie (David) Lewinski of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and Jill (David) Szydlik of Lexington, Kentucky. She was a beloved “Grammy” to Sean, Kevin, Jacob, Jeffrey, Jessica, Justin, Joshua, Abigail and Emily.
Jo Ann was a medical technologist before retiring and was former head of the school volunteer program in Bartholomew County, Indiana. She loved to play tennis, gardening and enjoyed baking sweets. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and especially loved celebrating holidays with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 14, from 6 until 8 p.m. at H.M. Patterson & Son Canton Hill Chapel in Marietta, Georgia. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 15, at the Catholic Church of St. Ann in Marietta.
