Parents of Columbus East High School students are invited to meet with their children’s teachers during an open house tonight.
The open house is 6 to 8 p.m. at the high school, 230 S. Marr Road. Students are welcome to accompany their parents if they wish, but that’s not a requirement.
Parents are asked to bring a copy of their child’s schedule or names of their teachers so they can connect with them on the high school’s second floor, where all of the East teachers will be stationed, said Kristin Schuetz, director of counseling at the high school.
As part of the open house, a special opportunity for parents of seniors is scheduled from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. so parents can learn about matters that are particular to students in their final year of high school — such as senior project requirements, information on college applications and scholarships and about requesting transcripts.
