Edinburgh
Christine Orner, 83 of Edinburgh, passed away August 12, 2016, at Homeview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Franklin, Indiana. She was born Aug. 2, 1933, in Hart County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Oscar and Bessie (Allen) Burton. She married Donald E. Orner Feb. 3, 1951. He preceded her in death Jan. 22, 1999.
She is survived by a grandson, Ronald “Chip” Orner of Franklin; a granddaughter, Cynthia Kay (Clinton) Michaels of Edinburgh; a sister, Linnie (Max McClain) McCorkle of Indianapolis; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Ronald E. Orner; brothers, Owen “Bud” Burton, Robert Burton, James Burton and Leonard Burton; and sisters, Emma Hadley, Delta Warren, Dollie Streeval and Alta Wheeler.
She was a member of Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh. She retired from Bob-O-Link Liquors after 20 plus years.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016, by the Rev. Lewis Burton at Who-So-Ever- Will Community Church. Calling will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
