Friday is the deadline to register for the Edinburgh Lion’s Club’s Prince and Princess contest, which will be conducted during the Edinburgh Fall Festival. Winners will be crowned Sept. 17 following the festival parade.
Prince and Princess winners will receive a battery-powered vehicle; runners-up will receive a bicycle. The best-decorated canister will receive a gift card.
Registration is open to boys and girls ages 3 to 5 who live in the Edinburgh area; 5-year-olds may not turn 6 prior to Sept. 17. Only one child per family may register. Each child who registers will receive a $50 gift certificate to Toys R Us, an 8×10 framed picture and a ride bracelet.
Edinburgh Lion’s Club reserves the right to cancel the contest if fewer than four boys and four girls register.
Registration forms can be picked at the Edinburgh Public Library, 119 W. Main Cross St.
