Police arrest 5 after welfare check at Sycamore Street apartment

Columbus police arrested five people at an apartment in the 700 block of Sycamore Street after receiving multiple complaints about suspicious activity there and a request to check on the welfare of one of the residents.

Columbus Police Department spokesman Lt. Matt Harris said just after midnight Saturday, police arrested:

  • Brittnee B. Bryant, 24, 1327 Ninth St., on charges of visiting a common nuisance and a warrant for failure to appear on an initial charge of battery, being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $8,500 bond.
  • Scott W. Bryant, 50, 1327 Ninth St., on charges of visiting a common nuisance, possession of a legend drug injection device and possession of paraphernalia, being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of$13,500 bond.
  • Courtney P. Bullington, 26, 746 Sycamore St., on charges of visiting a common nuisance, possession of a legend drug injection device and possession of paraphernalia, being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of$13,500 bond.
  • Yvette S. Bryant, 29, Greensburg, on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a legend drug injection device, visiting a common nuisance, a warrant for failure to appear on an initial charge of conversion, unauthorized entry of motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance, being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of$18,850 bond.
  • Charles T. Jeffers, 57, 746 Sycamore St., on a charge of maintaining a common nuisance, being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $7,500 bond.
