German American Bancorp Inc. recently received national recognition for its 2015 financial performance.

Bank Director Magazine awarded the company the second highest performance spot in the nation among its peers in the magazine’s annual Bank Performance Scorecard, which measures profitability, capitalization and asset quality.

The S&P Global Market Intelligence ranked German American among the nation’s top 100 performing banks in the $1 billion to $10 billion asset size category, based on profitability, asset quality and growth.

German American was named to the KBW Bank Honor Roll for the sixth consecutive year in recognition of positive earnings per share.

The bank has received the Raymond James Community Bankers Cup for the past four consecutive years, ranking it in the top 10 percent of banks in the nation based on profitability, operation efficiency and balance sheet metrics.

German American Bank is headquartered in Jasper and has a banking office at 240 Jackson St.

Six staff members in the Columbus office of Blue & Co. accounting and advisory firm recently received promotions.

Katy Ritter, CPA, was promoted to senior manager. She is a graduate of Northern Illinois University and has more than 26 years of experience in public accounting, specializing in high net worth tax compliance and planning.

Debra Anne Gill, CPA, joined the company in 2001 and has been promoted to manager. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama in Huntsville, with a degree in accounting, and works on the tax and business services team.

Stephanie Flora, CPA, was promoted to senior accountant. She earned a degree in accounting at Indiana State University, joined Blue & Co. in 2011, and works primarily with the tax and business services team.

Kari Storey, promoted to senior payroll specialist, attended the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville and joined Blue & Co. in 2012.

Susie Bullard was promoted to tax accounting specialist. She joined the company’s administrative team in 1987 after earning an associate degree in small business operations and works primarily with high net worth individual income taxes.

Jennifer Rutan was promoted to office manager. She is a graduate of Vincennes University, with an associate degree in management, and Ball State University, with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. She joined Blue & Co. in 2010 as an administrative assistant.
