Local students win national scholarships

Two college students from Columbus were awarded national scholarships from Alpha Lambda Delta, to be used for the 2016-17 academic year.

Jill Bosserman, attending Purdue University, was awarded the Martha Wade Graduate Fellowship in the amount of $6,000. She plans to pursue an advanced degree in journalism.

Jake Gale, attending IUPUI, received a $2,000 James G. Stemler Study Abroad Scholarship to be used when he travels to Germany and Switzerland this year. Gale studies supply chain management, marketing, international studies.

Alpha Lambda Delta is a national honor society that recognizes students’ academic success in their first year at a college or university.
