Highlanders edge Bull Dogs

SEYMOUR — Columbus North won both doubles matches Wednesday, but Floyd Central swept the singles matches to claim a 3-2 victory in a match played at Seymour.

Kevin Lin and Ammar Khaled beat Carson Bohling and Noah Heuhauser 6-1, 7-6 (0) at No. 1 singles for the Bull Dogs (0-1). Lucas Huang and Isaac Jackson downed Connor Mason and Alex Roe 0-6, 6-2, 7-5 at No. 2 doubles.

North’s Nathan VanDeventer fell to Chris Boone 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, Anay Gangal lost to Joseph Naville 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2 singles and Ben Mathew fell to Kyle Poe 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2 singles.

Eagles sweep Cougars

SEYMOUR — Brown County won four matches in straight sets Wednesday in a 5-0 win at Trinity Lutheran.

The Eagles’ Cash Myers beat Bailey Baker 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, Cole Smith downed Jonathan Keith 0-6, 6-1, (10-8) at No. 2 singles and Jesse Williams topped Pierce McCammon 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.

Austin Roush and Abe Oliver beat Matt Stuckwisch and Hunter Morgan 6-4, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles. Elijah Roush and Aaron McCann downed Jace Crockett and Caleb Gruenwald 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.

Panthers top Warriors

SCOTTSBURG — Three Jennings County players tied for medalist honors in a 197-236 win against Scottsburg on Wednesday.

Allie Clark, Peyton Whitehead and Lauren Mull all shot 49 for the Panthers. Sydney Campbell carded a 50, Marina Sigmund added a 51 and Rachel Greene had a 66.

NORTH VERNON — Jennings County picked up a 4-1 victory against South Dearborn on Tuesday.

Justin Copeland, Adrian Miller and Dylan Boswell scored goals for the Panthers. Adrian Miller had an assist, and Luke Bowling posted 10 saves.
