Jenny’s Picks – August 25

I love true crime. If I’m not reading about it on my Kindle, I’m watching a true crime show. Of course it would follow suit that I’m excited for “Decades of Dirt: Murder, Mystery and Mayhem from the Crossroads of Crime,” a presentation by the Speed City Sisters-in-Crime chapter from 10 to 11 a.m. Aug. 27 at Mill Race Center. The true crime enthusiasts will talk about and read excerpts from their latest anthology, “Decades of Dirt.” Information: 812-379-1266 and mybcpl.org.

Also Aug. 27 is Boy Scout Troop 549’s Homemade Ice Cream Social at the East Columbus United Methodist Church, 2439 Indiana Ave. From 4 to 7 p.m. you can swing by to grab a bowl of ice cream, brownie and a drink for $5. All proceeds go the boys for camp fees.
