Gladys G. Tuttle, 89, of Columbus, passed from this life at 5:20 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.

Mrs. Tuttle was a retired self-employed beautician and a member of East Columbus United Methodist Church.

A music enthusiast, she enjoyed playing the organ and piano at her church and funerals. She also enjoyed crocheting and doing crafts.

A devoted friend, she loved animals and spending time with her grandchildren and great-granddaughter.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Revs. Larry McIntosh and Charles Aigner officiating.

Family and friends may call from 12:30 p.m. to time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Mrs. Tuttle was born in St. Paul, Indiana, June 11, 1927, to Oral P. and Gertrude A. Bewley Hull.

She married Marion “Gene” Tuttle June 11, 1954. He preceded her in death March 22, 1999.

Survivors include her daughter, Lea (Roy) Knoy of Columbus; grandsons, Jon Knoy of Decatur, Georgia, and Chris (Allison) Knoy of Columbus; and her great-granddaughter, Violet Knoy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Gerald A. Hull.
