CHESTER, Pa. — A man and woman are facing charges in a home invasion in eastern Pennsylvania that left a 75-year-old man bound and his 49-year-old daughter severely beaten.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports (http://bit.ly/2btOysl ) 25-year-old Erinn Howarth and 23-year-old Richard Johnson were arraigned Thursday on charges including robbery and aggravated assault.

Authorities say the attack happened late Tuesday in Chester. Police say the man was brushing his teeth when he felt a gun pressed against his head and someone asking for the combination to his safe. The man’s hands and feet were bound as his room was ransacked.

The man’s daughter came into the home during the robbery and was beaten and bound by an electrical cord. She’s in critical condition.

Howarth is possibly the man’s housekeeper.

It’s unclear if they have attorneys.
