Members of the 83rd Infantry gathered for their 60th reunion at Camp Atterbury where they trained before going to Europe during World War II.

After considering the options, safety worries prompted Church of the Galilean board members to vote to cut down a historic Sycamore tree at the corner of Taylor and Rocky Ford roads after a branch from the tree came crashing down on a car in July.

Columbus Mayor Eret Kline recommended the purchase of an incinerator to dispose of trash and garbage since space in the city dump was running out and the search for an appropriate new location was at a standstill.
