EAGAN, Minn. — Police in Eagan say a suspect is dead after an officer-involved shooting.

Authorities say they responded to a report of a man firing a gun in the driveway of an apartment building just before noon Sunday.

Eagan police spokesman Aaron Machtemes tells the Star Tribune there was an “exchange of gunfire” when officers arrived. It was not immediately clear whether the suspect had fired at police.

The Eagan Police Department says on Twitter that no other suspects were involved and no officers were injured.

The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is helping with the investigation. Additional details were not immediately released.
