MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Federal prosecutors say a former Millington reserve police officer has been sentenced to 26 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to child pornography charges earlier this year.

The U.S. attorney’s office says 67-year-old Rickie Friar was sentenced Monday. He pleaded guilty in May to producing child pornography of three female minors and transporting a minor across state lines with intent to engage in unlawful sexual activity.

Prosecutors say an examination of Friar’s iPad and other devices seized during a search of his home in 2015 revealed videos and images of female minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Two victims were under 12 years old at the time. One was under 18.

Friar was arrested in Arkansas, returning from a trip to Oklahoma. He had a female minor with him.
