ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. — A central Florida police officer has been accused of choking someone during a domestic incident.

News outlets report that Altamonte Springs Senior Police Officer Paul Singrossi was placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation. He faces a charge of domestic battery by strangulation.

Seminole County sheriff’s deputies say they arrested Singrossi after responding to a call about a domestic disturbance early Tuesday. Authorities did not release details about the incident.

Singrossi has been with the Altamonte Springs Police Department for seven years. It is unclear whether he has an attorney.
