SOMERSET, N.J. — Authorities say a 13-year-old boy has died after he was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle in New Jersey.

Police say Andrew Russoniello was hit around 5:20 p.m. Monday in Franklin Township when the boy crossed in front of a Nissan Versa. He was taken to a hospital, where he died just after 11 p.m.

The 23-year-old driver of the Versa wasn’t hurt in the crash and stayed at the scene.

No charges have been filed.

The crash remains under investigation.
