G. Steve Antcliff

Columbus

G. Steve Antcliff, 48 years old, of Columbus, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly August 28, while working on the house he loved.

He was born in Lowell, Michigan, to Gary and Susan Antcliff May 25, 1968, where he lived until he graduated in 1986. He married the love of his life, Rachelle (McCabe) Antcliff, May 20, 1988, and they later welcomed two beautiful sons, Bradley and Ryan (wife Atalie). Steve graduated with a degree in engineering from the University of Michigan in 1991 and remained a lifelong Wolverine fan. He entered a 25-year career at Cummins Inc., first as a designer, then as a corporate strategist and ended his career as a supplier director. He loved his company because it aligned so well with his values of compassion and openness. In 2012, he earned his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

As a natural social butterfly and the life of any party, he found friendship everywhere he went and will be forever missed by his family and hundreds of friends. Always in a good mood, he understood better than most that time is best spent celebrating each moment with the people he loved. The moments he had were full of love, laughter and music on full blast.

Steve also highly valued education and aspired to set up a scholarship fund. This is one of the best ways you can contribute to his memory. Memorials in Steve’s name may be made to the Heritage Fund – the Community Foundation of Bartholomew County, 538 Franklin St., Columbus, Indiana 47201. You are also welcome to lift a glass of Steve’s homemade wine to celebrate his life at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, at the Antcliff home, 9430 W. County Road 225S, Columbus, Indiana 47201. Bring swim suits, a side dish or dessert and your dancing shoes.
