HILLMAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A man has been charged with murder after police say he killed a 23-year-old man in northeast Michigan during a dispute before breaking into a nearby home and killing another man.

Twenty-five-year-old Kyle Boldrey is being held without bond in the Montmorency County Jail. Defense lawyer Matthew Wojda tells WWTV he’s “going to do the best to defend him.”

Police say they were called to Hillman Township about 4 a.m. Saturday about a home invasion. Police discovered three injured people inside and 69-year-old Keith Atkinson later died. Troopers also found the body of 23-year-old Trevor Hubbard nearby.

Police say Boldrey and Hubbard had taken drugs before Boldrey stabbed Hubbard, ran him over and rolled the vehicle while fleeing. They say Boldrey then tried to steal a car and beat Atkinson.
