ST. PAUL, Minn. — St. Paul police have found a man dead as officers responded to a robbery call on the city’s North End.

The robbery was reported about 4 a.m. Thursday. Officers found a man critically injured at the scene. Paramedics pronounced him dead.

Police spokesman Sgt. Mike Ernster says authorities are not saying yet how the man died, or whether he was the victim of the reported robbery.

Ernster tells the Minneapolis Star Tribune (http://strib.mn/2ccjYmt ) the man did not live in the immediate area. His name has not been released.

A suspect was seen running away.
