RENO, Nev. — The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after documents relating to a sexual harassment complaint against Reno City Manager Andrew Clinger disappeared.

Three women have filed a joint sexual harassment complaint against Clinger, who is on paid administrative leave.

The Reno Gazette-Journal first reported in Thursday’s editions that one of the women reported the documents she gathered to support her claim went missing from her office July 29.

Reno City Attorney Karl Hall told KRNV-TV the documents were allegedly related to the complaint against Clinger.

Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Harmon confirmed for The Associated Press on Thursday the city of Reno asked the sheriff’s office to investigate the possible theft from a city employee about a week ago. He said the investigation is ongoing but he refused to comment on whether it’s related to the harassment case.
