ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — The Latest on a shooting at an outlet mall in Atlantic City, New Jersey (all times local):

10:10 p.m.

Authorities have identified the victim in a shooting at an Atlantic City outlet mall and the alleged gunman.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office say 55-year-old Lewis Maisonet, of Somers Point, shot and killed 26-year-old Christopher Romero, of Absecon, around noon on Thursday, before turning the gun on himself.

The shooting happened inside the Zumiez store at The Walk, where Romero was the store manager.

Officials are calling it a domestic related incident.

Romero was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Maisonet remains hospitalized in critical condition.

A motive for the shooting remains unclear.

The investigation is ongoing.

A clothing store company says the victim of a shooting at an Atlantic City outlet mall was their store manager.

Zumiez chief executive Rick Brooks says the company is tremendously saddened by the violence that claimed the life of the man Thursday afternoon.

Authorities say another man came into the store and fatally shot the employee before turning the gun on himself around noon at The Walk.

The shooter was alive, but investigators didn’t release additional details on his condition.

Brooks says the company is working with local law enforcement and that the victim’s identity wasn’t being released pending notification of his family.

The Tanger outlets are a popular shopping destination near the city’s casinos and boardwalk.

Investigators say the shooting happened around noon Thursday at The Walk. The shooter was alive, but investigators didn’t release additional details on his condition.

The Tanger outlets are a popular shopping destination near the city’s casinos and boardwalk.

Shoppers at a Bass Pro Shops store told the Press of Atlantic City that they were told to get into “lockdown mode” and move to the back. Eddie Valerio says shoppers were released after 10 minutes and everyone in the store was fine.

Traffic on the Atlantic City Expressway was stopped while police investigated.

The shooting comes a few hours before the Zac Brown Band performs just blocks away.
