LAUREL, Md. — Howard County police have charged the adult son of a couple found dead in their Laurel home in their deaths.

The department said in a news release that 66-year-old Glen White and 61-year-old Linda White were found dead Thursday evening after officers went to their home after it was reported they did not show up for a meeting.

Officers say Glen White was discovered in the bedroom with a stab wound, while his wife was found in the basement with what appeared to be blunt force trauma.

Police arrested their son, 30-year-old Craig White, who lived in the home with his parents, Friday morning in Columbia. He is charged with first- and second-degree murder and assault.
