NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk police say one man died after his moped collided with a Jeep Cherokee.

The wreck occurred just after 6 a.m. on Thursday when the Jeep attempted to make a left turn onto Ballentine Boulevard from East Princess Anne Road and collided with the moped at the intersection.

Police identified the moped driver as 55-year-old James White. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say the investigation will be turned over to the commonwealth attorney’s office to determine whether or not to file charges.
