SAN FRANCISCO — An inmate mistakenly released from a San Francisco county jail has turned himself in.

San Francisco television station KRON reports Victor Rodriguez turned himself in at the city’s Hall of Justice Saturday.

Rodriguez was released Wednesday after a court clerk accidentally indicated that all charges against the 20-year-old had been dismissed.

He says he told officials he shouldn’t be released but that they told him he had to go home.

Rodriguez had several months left on his sentence and was booked last November on suspicion of robbery, battery and resisting arrest. He was twice charged with making threats against police.
