LAS VEGAS — Police say the fatal shooting of a man at a Las Vegas park appears to have been an accident.
Authorities said Friday that investigators have interviewed the person responsible, and they believe it was not a deliberate act.
However, the Clark County District Attorney and homicide detectives are considering charges of some sort.
Officers were called Thursday around 8 p.m. and found a shooting victim near the park’s basketball courts.
Police say the man was suffering from one gunshot wound and was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.
According to investigators, the shooting occurred inside a parked vehicle in that area.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office will determine the victim’s identity and official cause of death.
