Gregory and Peggy Scherschel of Franklin Street celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary by spending a week in the mountains of Colorado with all their children and grandchildren.
Mr. Scherschel and the former Peggy Jo Hutton were married June 12, 1971, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Bedford, by the Rev. Charles Chesebrough.
Mr. Scherschel is a financial adviser with Northwestern Mutual.
Mrs. Scherschel is a fifth-grade teacher at Clifty Creek Elementary School.

The couple have four children, Dana Koester of Brownsburg, Gretchen Seibert of Mammoth Lakes, California, Joshua of Columbus and Joseph of Greenwood. They also have seven grandchildren.
