Columbus East seeking new diving coach

Columbus East High School is looking for a boys and girls diving coach for the upcoming swimming and diving season.

Small Ball Bash tourney set at Lincoln Park

The Cole Weddle Scholarship Small Ball Bash will be Sept. 24 and 25 at Lincoln Park. The coed softball tourney will begin at 9 a.m. Sept. 24, and the men’s tourney will begin at 9 a.m. Sept. 25.

Entry fee is $150 per team, with three games guaranteed. The signup deadline is noon Sept. 21.

Basketball camp at FFY postponed

The Good & Humes basketball camp that former Columbus East girls basketball coach Mel Good and current East assistant Willie Humes had scheduled for Tuesday through Friday at Foundation For Youth has been postponed until Fall Break.

The camp is for ages 5 through 8. Cost is $60. To sign up, contact FFY at 812-348-4555.

Seymour offering coed, women’s volleyball

The Seymour Parks and Recreation Department is accepting registration for its Summer Coed and Women’s Volleyball Leagues until Oct. 1.

Coed League games will be played on Sunday evenings at the Seymour Boys and Girls Club, and Women’s League games will be on Wednesday evenings at Seymour Middle School. Cost is a $95 team sponsor fee, plus six $13 player fees.
