DRAVOSBURG, Pa. — Authorities in western Pennsylvania say an off-duty suburban Pittsburgh police officer was killed in a motorcycle crash.

Allegheny County officials said the crash happened at about 9 p.m. Saturday in the borough of Dravosburg.

The medical examiner’s office said 40-year-old Robert Gogo Jr. was pronounced dead about an hour later in the emergency room of UPMC McKeesport.

Officials said Sunday after an autopsy that the cause of death was attributed to blunt impact head injury and the manner of death was ruled accidental.

Officials said Gogo was sworn in as a police officer in Duquesne in November 2003.
