WATERLOO, Ala. — Emergency personnel from three states are searching for a man who disappeared while swimming in Pickwick Lake in Alabama.

Lauderdale County Emergency Management Agency Director George Grabryan tells the TimesDaily (http://bit.ly/2cuL88R ) that a 36-year-old man was reported missing Monday afternoon after jumping into the water to go swimming.

The area of the Tennessee River where the incident occurred is where Alabama, Tennessee and Mississippi meet in extreme northwest Alabama.

Grabryan said the incident occurred a couple hundred yards inside Alabama. He said rescue personnel from Tennessee, and Mississippi were assisting in the search.
