GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — Police say an officer shot and killed a suspect in a Colorado trailer park after responding to a domestic violence call.

The Daily Sentinel reports ( ) that Grand Junction police spokeswoman Megan Terlecky says one officer fatally shot the man in a trailer park on Sunday afternoon.

Terlecky says the man’s wife had called 911 saying she left the house because her husband was acting erratically and she was concerned about the safety of her children.

She says kids involved in the incident were treated at the scene and released.

The names of the people involved are not yet available.

Officers involved in the shooting will be placed on paid leave during the investigation.
