United Way 2-1-1 South Central IN, a community information and referral service, is adding text messaging services as part of the options to connect to resources.
Two-way texting is available by testing your zip code to TXT211 (898-211). Residents may then have a text message conversation with a trained specialist and get connected with resources via the text messaging service from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
2-1-1 will continue to offer the phone call (211) and web search (referweb.net/uwbc) options to obtain community information and referrals.
