Eagles go 3-0 in Cup

BLOOMINGTON — Brown County won all three of its games to capture its division in the Hoosier Cup.

The Eagles began on Friday with a 1-0 win against Washington Catholic. Landon Cambridge scored off an assist from Caleb Yager in the 59th minute. Noah Seidle recorded five saves.

On Saturday, Brown County beat White River Valley 4-1. Logan Fittz scored off an assist from Cambridge in the sixth minute, Cambridge scored off passes from Caleb Yager in the 35th minute and Fittz in the 46th minute and Fittz netted an unassisted goal in the 50th minute. Seidle posted one save.

The Eagles (4-2) edged Edgewood 2-1 to close the tournament Saturday night. Landon Cambridge scored off assists from Jalan Armstrong in the first minute and Fittz in the 59th minute. Seidle had four saves.

GIRLS SOCCER

Cougars fall twice

BATESVILLE — Trinity Lutheran dropped both of its games in the Batesville Invitational Saturday, falling to Centerville 2-0 and Rising Sun 2-1.

The Cougars outshot Centerville 9-6, but gave up a pair of second-half goals. Vadalis Montanez recorded two saves.

Against Rising Sun, Trinity (1-6) scored first in the first half on a goal from Sydney Hoene. The Shiners outshot the Cougars 12-6, with Montanez posting 10 saves.
