GREENVILLE, S.C. — Authorities say a 3-year-old boy has drowned in a community pool in Greenville County.

Coroner Parks Evans told media outlets that Za’Marion Wilcox fell into the pool at the Partridge Ridge subdivision around 7:45 p.m. Sunday and was unconscious when one of his foster parents got him out of the water.

Parks says paramedics tried to resuscitate the child, but he died about an hour later at the hospital.

The coroner says an autopsy showed the boy died from accidental drowning.
