ALEXANDRIA, La. — Four teenagers are set to appear in court to answer charges that they took part in a beating death at an Alexandria motel.

The Town Talk reports (http://townta.lk/2cxcn5h ) an arraignment is set Friday for 17-year-olds Akeeley Blade and Brooke Daniels and 16-year-olds Travis Weston and Camryn Lasyone. All are charged as adults.

They were indicted Aug. 25 on first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit second-degree robbery.

Attorney Tiffany L. Ratliff filed motions to set and reduce bond for Blade. Court records don’t list attorneys for the others.

Alexandria police found 55-year-old Michael Butler of Lecompte beaten at a motel Aug. 10. He told officers a female knocked on his door. When he opened it, multiple males entered his room, beating him and stealing his wallet. Butler died at a hospital.
