NEW YORK — The New York Police Department says a 19-year-old has been fatally shot a couple blocks from his Manhattan home.
The NYPD says officers in the 30th Precinct responded around 9:50 p.m. Monday to a 911 call reporting a shooting on West 140th Street in Harlem. When cops arrived they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso.
He was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police identified the victim early Tuesday morning as Manauris Davis, who lived two blocks from where he was shot.
Officials say no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
