Cummins fumigates office building after finding bed bugs

The discovery of bed bugs in a Cummins Inc. office building has resulted in temporary closing of the facility while corrective measures are taken.

The bed bugs were identified about two weeks ago at Cummins Inc.’s General Office Building, 1460 N. National Road in Columbus, located next to its Fuel Systems plant, Cummins spokesman Jon Mills said.

Steps included hiring a professional pest-control firm to come in and assess the problem and suggest corrective steps for the office building, Mills said.

“We quickly had the area where the bed bugs were identified treated and evacuated,” Mills said. “We fumigated the entire office this past weekend.”
