Gerald Alan Wilson, 61, of Elizabethtown, passed away at 6:47 a.m. September 2, 2016, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Gerald was born January 22, 1955, in Columbus, the son of Lorel Virgil and Helen E. Bishop Wilson. He married Brenda M. Roberts October 16, 1999.
Gerald was employed by Aisin USA Manufacturing for 15 years and attended Wilson Chapel Church. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
Gerald was very family oriented and enjoyed his grandchildren. He loved gardening, NASCAR and was a Jeff Gordon fan.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Joe Weyer officiating. Calling will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery with military honors presented by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility through the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife Brenda; daughters, Crystal (Donnie) Farquer of Rushville and Amber (Kyle) Loshuer of St. Augustine, Florida; brothers, James (Jolene) Wilson of Mt. Carmel, Illinois and Kenneth (Kelly) Wilson of Mooresville; sisters, Sharon (Dale) Dart of Elizabethtown and Jennifer (Alan) Garland of West Lafayette; and grandchildren, Desi Perez, Morgan Johnson, Keegan Shaffer, Chase Shaffer and Jonathon Shaffer.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
