LAS VEGAS — Democratic Senate candidate Catherine Cortez Masto is getting a post-Labor Day boost with four new ads going up against her opponent so far this week.
The League of Conservation Voters announced $860,000 in commercials accusing Republican Rep. Joe Heck of voting against Nevada’s solar industry. His campaign argues the votes would have transferred money away from an account that secures the country’s nuclear arsenal.
The Harry Reid-linked Senate Majority PAC is putting $170,000 behind Spanish-language TV ads saying there’s no difference between Heck and Donald Trump. And Planned Parenthood Votes launched two online ads Wednesday saying Heck’s anti-abortion views are dangerous to women’s health.
Heck’s campaign says he prioritizes women’s health, citing his roles as father and doctor.
More than $25 million has been spent on commercials in the race.
