ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Anchorage police continue to investigate a shooting in a south-side neighborhood that left a man critically injured early Wednesday morning.
The man was found outside a south Anchorage home with several gunshot wounds.
Police have not released the name of the man wounded or the person who shot him but say there are no outstanding suspects.
A man who lives near the shooting scene, Scott Falconer, tells Anchorage television station KTUU (http://bit.ly/2bY5j2S) that several residents in the area have had vehicles broken into recently.
Falconer says he heard gunshots shortly after midnight and came out of his apartment to find the wounded man calling for help.
The wounded man told Falconer he had been shot by a man standing nearby speaking to police on his phone.
