69 tickets, 14 arrests in Drive Sober enforcement campaign

The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department has announced local results from the 2016 Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement campaign, which included the Labor Day weekend.

During the entire enforcement period, from Aug. 12 to Sept. 5, county officers wrote 69 tickets and 14 arrests were made for driving while intoxicated in Bartholomew County.

Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over is funded annually by federal highway safety money. About 250 participating law enforcement agencies in Indiana participate.
