HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — Police in Hot Springs say one suspect has been arrested and a second has been identified in a shooting that wounded five people.

Police Cpl. Kirk Zaner said Friday that a 23-year-old man was arrested on five counts of first-degree battery and is jailed on $250,000 bond. Zaner said an arrest warrant is being sought for the second suspect.

Zaner said the victims were found shortly before 7 p.m. Thursday both inside and outside a home on the city’s west side. He said the five are a 19-year-old woman and four males aged 17, 20, 23 and 53.

Their conditions were not released.

Zaner said it appears the victims and suspects know each other and that the shooting followed a fight. The cause of the fight was not immediately released.
