North Vernon woman arrested on charge of credit card fraud

A North Vernon woman turned herself in at the Bartholomew County Jail after being accused of making unauthorized charges on another person’s credit card.

Natosha Nicole Sheppard, 19, 2990 Whittington Drive, North Vernon, is accused of two felony counts of fraud, Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputies said.

In July, a victim reported to the sheriff’s department that unauthorized charges were made to her credit card. The investigation led to Sheppard being questioned by deputies, where she admitted using the victim’s credit card on two separate occasions.

Sheppard turned herself in at the jail on Tuesday and is being held in jail in lieu of $20,000 bond, jail officials said.
