Remote control air show scheduled for Oct. 9

The eighth annual Cheer Fund Charity Airshow, organized by the Bartholomew County Remote Control Fliers, will be held 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 9.

People who attend will be able to see model airplanes and helicopters in flight and watch flying demonstrations. The airshow location is three miles east of Columbus on 25th Street at the former Petersville landfill.

Food will be available, and a raffle is planned. Visitors are asked to bring their own lawn chairs.

Admission is free. All proceeds go to the Columbus Firemen’s Cheer Fund.
